Tinubulate Nigeria Agenda, a political youth group, has called on Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the (APC), to contest for the 2023 presidential election.
Samuel Alamoh, director-general of the group, stated this at a media briefing in Abuja on Friday.
The group also presented a dummy cheque of N10m to demonstrate their commitment to support Tinubu, should he accept to contest the election.
According to Alamoh, the sum is for Tinubu to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms when the party commences sales.
In June 2020, Tinubu had said contrary to speculations, he has not taken a decision to run for president in 2023.
The former governor of Lagos said, at the time, that he was more worried about the health and economic challenges facing the country.
But Tina said they are confident that he would lead a govt “with comprehensive policies that encompass monumental infrastructural and human development with unprecedented economic growth”.
“This support group was founded in line and in support of consolidating President Buhari’s achievements in all sectors of the Nigerian economy and democratic development,” the group said.
“As good citizens committed to the progress, unity and stability of Nigeria, it is our inalienable right to throw our weight and give our unrelenting support to any individual capable of bringing about good, exemplary, responsive and progressive leadership.
“Tinubu’s transformational leadership acumen, outstanding managerial skills, and futuristic orientation stand him out among all.
“We are convinced beyond every reasonable doubt that he possesses all the qualities, capacities, and experiences needed to actualise the Nigeria of our dream and aspirations of the citizens.
“We are not unaware that the task is onerous and enormous; it demands the collective efforts of all Nigerians of good conscience and passion for the country"
