Governor Samuel Ortom of Beniue State says bye bye to he political party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
On monday, 16th July, he disclosed at the Government House in Makurdi, the state capital, while swearing in his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Jerome Torshimbe.
Explaining the reasons behind his action, According to Ortom he has been sent out of APC and is currently exploring a new option to actualise his future ambition.
Although he has not, announced the party he will be joining, saying only that he is consulting with relevant stakeholders and will soon announce his next move.
“As for party, I have been given a red card and I’m outside the pitch. So, if I have been given a red card and I’m standing outside, I’m a free man,
“So, I don’t know what will happen next; but I’m waiting. If approached, then I will tell the Benue people that I’m joining another football club,” he said.
The governor, speaking concerning the challenges confronting the state expressed the belief that it will soon come to an end.
“Many people have been wondering that though we dedicated the state to God, we are still facing challenges; but all these challenges that we see today, we shall see them no more.”
