It was learned that the bandits also kidnapped 18 victims from the affected village, but 10 (seven women and 3 babies) of the abducted victims have since been rescued by the police.
According to a report, Ibrahim revealed that his leader and wanted bandit, Sani Muhidinge, has more than 100 footsoldiers. The suspect further revealed that he received N500,000 out of N5 million ransom money paid to his gang.
Ibrahim revealed that Sani Muhidinge and his men are hiding in the Danmusa forest in Katsina State. The suspect also confessed to partaking in cattle rustling.
A rescued victim, Basira Haruna, narrated the hardship she and other victims endured at the hands of their abductors. The PPRO of the Katsina State Police Command, Gambo Isah was present during the parade of the suspect.
