Consensus National chairmanship candidate of the North in the People’s Democratic Party Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, has said the the All Progressive Congress led government will replace Alh Lai Mohammed with Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode because Mohammed has stopped defending him the APC.
Ayu said the APC is no longer a political party but a failed political alliance.
Speaking during an interview on programme on Friday, Ayu said that the ruling APC is not a "political juggernaut" but a failed "political alliance".
He said this explained what he called lack of policy coordination and alleged failed promises.
He added that the recent defection of the former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode to the party from the PDP was preparatory to his appointment as a spin doctor.
He did not however specify whether Fani-Kayode is to replace Mohammed as Minister or as spokesman of the party.
Ayu said the situation under the APC government is so bad that Lai Mohammed himself has grown weary of speaking for the party.
He said it is part of the reason the party admitted Fani-Kayode whom he said does not respect anything in his own communication approach.
Ayu said APC is a confused party adding that it's decision to make a serving Governor it's acting chairman confirms that the party is unserious.
Recall that the Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni is the chairman of the party's Caretaker and Convention Planning Committee.
This after the dissolution of the party National Working Committee last year.
