Minister of health, Isaac Adewole, revealed that the United States Government has donated $90
million equivalent to N32billon to support the forth coming HIV survey project in Nigeria.
Isaac Adewole mentioned this on Thursday at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the survey which took place in Abuja.
The agreement was signed by the minister, the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, and the National Agency for the Control of Aids (NACA).
The survey, tagged Nigeria Aids Indicators and Impact Survey (NAIIS), is the largest in the world and Nigeria is the 12th country conducting it.
The project will kick start in June and will be on for six months across the 36 states including Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
