Ndufu-Ikwo a Federal University in Ebonyi State has been named after Former Vice President, Late Alex Ekwueme, by the Nigerian Givernment.
The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo announced the renaming on Friday at Oko, Anambra State during the burial of Mr. Ekwueme, who was Vice President of Nigeria between 1979 / 1983.
According to the present President, Buhari the renaming was to honour late Alex Ekwueme because of the huge contribution he has contributed to this country's development.
