According to journalists on Saturday in Lokoja, the Chief Medical Director of FMC, Dr. Olatunde Alabi, mentioned that the doctor was diagnosed of the disease on January 19.
The victim’s blood sample was sent to the FMC, Irrua, Edo State, where it tested positive to Lassa fever.
Alabi said the 30- year old physician was in the early hours of Saturday taken to Irrua for further treatment.
