KRC Genk forward Ike Ugbo has explained his decision to represent Nigeria at international football instead of England despite playing for them at the youth level.
The talented forward was Born in Lewisham, Greater London, Ugbo which automatically qualifies him to play for England. He went on to excel for the country’s under-17 and under-20 teams.
But talking to the PA news agency as per Denbighshire Freepress, Ugbo reveals that his father who is from Nigeria has a rooted love for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, and he has a better chance of playing in Nigeria than England.
