Abba Sayyadi Ruma, a former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development under late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, has died.
According to him, the former minister died on Wednesday afternoon in a London hospital.
Mr Ruma was chairman of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, based in Rome, Italy, and was born on March 13, 1962.
The late minister earned a BA in History from the University of Sokoto, an MA in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, and a PhD in International Relations from the University of Abuja.
