This is regarding claims in certain quarters that Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the 56-year-old Governor of Lagos state has vested interest in the rape case against actor Olarenwaju James Omiyinka popularly known as “Baba Ijesha”.
Baba Ijesha who was arrested on April 19, 2021, based on a complaint by colleague Adekola Adekanye (Princess) is currently on bail and undergoing prosecuting for multiple charges of rape against a minor at a Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja.
The victim of Baba Ijesha’s alleged sexual misadventure is identified to be comedienne Princess’s ward.
There have been claims on the sides of both Baba Ijesha and Princess that Governor Sanwo-Olu is in their corner.
The claims by the people throwing up started when the issue of granting Baba Ijesha came up.
