He was recently put on the spot by a disappointed follower who criticised him for taking pictures with a woman in bikini.
The follower expressed disappointment with Omokri after the former presidential aide posted a picture of himself at a beach with a friend and a woman in a swimming suit.
According to the follower, the usually vocal Omokri’s nonchalant attitude to the woman’s attire does not give the correct prerogative of a “pastor”, describing it as saddening.
But rather than apologise, Omokri lashed out at the complainant. The former presidential aide told the follower he had not taken notice of the lady’s attire and as such his intentions are pure.
Omokri, in his defence, quoted some scriptures to prove that his intentions were sincere.
He wrote: “Genesis 2:25: Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame”,
Titus 1:15: To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. Proverbs 23:7: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”. (Adapted from a report by The Nation)
