The Barbadian singer, actress, fashion designer, was pronounced a billionaire and officially one of the wealthiest female musicians in the world, according to Forbes Magazine.
Her networth is $1.7 billion. Yet with all that, she is still receiving almost $1.4 billion from her beauty cosmetics line.
In the interview granted by the singer, said her mother told her about her origin in Africa.
“My mom told me that I am originally from Igbo, Igbo is a tribe in Africa,” she said.
According to Wikipedia, the Igbo people also spelled Ibo and formerly also Iboe, Ebo, Eboe, Eboans, natively Ṇ́dị́ Ìgbò [ìɡ͡bò] are a meta-ethnicity native to present-day south-central and southeastern Nigeria. Large ethnic Igbo populations are found in Cameroon, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea, as well as outside Africa.
There has been much speculation about the origins of the Igbo people, as it is unknown how exactly the group came to form. Geographically, the Igbo homeland is divided into two unequal sections by the Niger River – an eastern (which is the larger of the two) and a western section.
