0

21-year-old, Stephine Solomon Oghenevwoke that was declared missing after she left for work at Okumagba Estate and did not return home has been arrested with her parents.

She is currently under detention in Asaba for conniving with her parents to fake her own kidnap in order to defraud the financial management company that she works for.

According to reports, Stephine Oghenevwoke using her influence in the company that finances both small and medium scale businesses, approved loans for herself by proxy.

She used her mother and the wife of their church pastor, pretending that they have genuine businesses for loans to be approved and paid.

However, trouble started when Oghenevwoke was ordered by the company’s management to go after the loan defaulters she provided because they were not showing any willingness to repay the debt.

It was at that moment that she connived with her parents to flee town and hide at a relative’s house in Asaba.

When the company reached out to the mother over the loan repayment, she vehemently refused insisting that not until they provide her daughter, she will not pay

The company sensing foul play involved the police authorities and declared her missing thereafter.

During interrogation, her parents admitted to the police that they connived with their daughter to flee so they can defraud the company with her absence and not repay the loan.

She is currently detained at the State Headquarters in Asaba while her parents are cooling off their heels at the ‘B’ Division in Warri pending the conclusion of police investigation.
