To mark World Bicycle Day on Thursday, June 3, BBC News Pidgin spoke to a Nigerian man, Ibrahim Dan Maliki, who bought his 40 years ago.
In his interview with the media, the man expressed his strong attachment to the bicycle and said he would ride it till death does them apart.
The man said that he will keep riding his bicycle.
Things were so cheap
The man added that he bought the bicycle for around N23, revealing that the joy it brought him on the day of purchase was endless.
Ibrahim stated that to change a tyre went for less than N1 but the reality is different in the present time as he would have to spend N2000 to do the same.
