Nigerians on Twitter, complain about fruits wasting away in Benue state with no juice company taking advantage.
I can attest to this cos I served in Benue many years ago. I remember buying the biggest tubers of yams for N200. That's their main food, they basically eat yam every day.
I remember buying buckets of orange with over 50 pieces for N200, same with tomatoes, they beg you to take extras as it would get spoil.
I remember their mangoes bigger than my head and you could get 5 for N200 if you price well. Such a blessed state yet they live in poverty as no there's little or no patronage from the outside.
I use to imagine how I could set up a business to transport these foods to sell in Lagos back then. You imagine what sort of government we have in Nigeria.
