Earlier today the Treasury House in Garki Abuja was on fire.
According to the Accountant General of the Federation, Mr Idris Ahmed, during an interview this afternoon, he said that the fire started from the 4th floor of the building, he added that although some important documents got burnt, but he assured Nigerians that all the information in these documents are also on the system so technically there’s no information lost.
The building was under a serious renovation before the incident so anything could have been the caused of the fire outbreak, he also mentioned that a staff noticed some smoke from an AC before it all started.
Furthermore there’s no life lost, only the damages made to the building. Thank God.
